Building the Workforce Starts Before Graduation
On May 18th, we attended the 2026 STEM Awards Banquet at the Lancaster Science Factory, where we were honored to receive the Business Partnership Award from the Lancaster County STEM Alliance.
The award recognizes businesses that go above and beyond to support the local education community through workforce development, STEM education, and industry partnership initiatives.
For us, that work has never been about recognition. It has always been about responsibility.
In manufacturing and industrial services, the future of the workforce is not something that just shows up one day. It has to be developed intentionally through mentorship, exposure, training, and opportunity. That process starts long before someone applies for a job.
Organizations like the Lancaster County STEM Alliance and IU13 are helping bridge the gap between education and industry by creating meaningful connections between students and local businesses. Those partnerships give students the chance to see what modern manufacturing and skilled trades really look like and the wide range of careers available right here in Lancaster County.
We believe hands-on industries deserve hands-on learning opportunities. Whether it is participating in educational events, supporting career exploration programs, or opening doors for students to better understand our industry, we are committed to being part of that pipeline.
The demand for skilled workers continues to grow across manufacturing, construction, engineering, and technical trades. Meeting that demand will take collaboration between schools, businesses, educators, and community organizations.
That is why this recognition is especially meaningful to our team. It represents the collective effort happening across our region to prepare the next generation with practical skills, technical knowledge, and confidence in their future careers.
We are grateful to the Lancaster County STEM Alliance and IU13 for this award and for the work they continue to do throughout our community.
Most importantly, we are encouraged by the students themselves. Their curiosity, creativity, and willingness to learn are a reminder that the future of our industry is in good hands.
