Pequea Valley Students Film at Goodhart Sons | What’s So Cool About Manufacturing

Pequea Valley Students Visit Goodhart Sons for What’s So Cool About Manufacturing?

Jan 2026

We were excited to welcome students from Pequea Valley School District to our shop as part of the What’s So Cool About Manufacturing? student video contest.

During their visit, the student film crew spent time behind the scenes at our facility, capturing what goes into modern manufacturing and learning firsthand how steel fabrication, project execution, and teamwork come together in real-world applications. From shop floor footage to interviews with our team members, the students asked thoughtful questions and showed genuine curiosity about how manufacturing works—and why it matters.

We believe it’s important to support programs that introduce students to career opportunities in manufacturing. The What’s So Cool About Manufacturing? contest does exactly that by giving students a chance to explore local manufacturers, tell their stories, and see how innovation, problem-solving, and skilled trades play a vital role in our communities.

We were impressed by the students’ professionalism, creativity, and enthusiasm throughout the filming process. Opportunities like this help bridge the gap between education and industry while encouraging the next generation to consider careers in manufacturing.

Thank you to the Pequea Valley team, the What’s So Cool About Manufacturing? Program, and MANTEC for spending time with us. We look forward to seeing the finished film and cheering the students on in the competition!
