The Goodhart Table Brings the Team Together

Five buildings. Installation crews working across the country. A lot of people who don’t get to see each other every day.
That’s the reality of working at Goodhart Sons, and it’s one of the reasons we started The Goodhart Table, a quarterly gathering built around a simple idea: make time to sit down and share a meal together.
Our work may keep us moving between the shop, the office, fabrication spaces, and job sites across the country, but we’re still one team. Bringing people together takes some planning, especially when some of our installation crews are working several states away. When we have the opportunity to get people together, we want to make the most of it.
For our first Goodhart Table, we started the morning with breakfast from Daily Brew Coffee Trailer, giving employees a chance to grab a meal, catch up with coworkers, and spend some time with teammates they might normally only see in passing. We wrapped up the morning with our safety raffle, where Marty Brian took home a new Miller Elite Series welding helmet.
The meal is only part of it. The bigger purpose is making room for the conversations that don’t happen when everyone is focused on the job in front of them.
The Goodhart Table is something we plan to continue each quarter, creating regular opportunities for our people to come together, share a meal, and stay connected across the company.
Because good work depends on good people, and good teams need time together.
