Goodhart Sons, Inc. was contracted by a US bottle extrusion manufacturing company to perform turnkey engineering, fabrication, and installation for a plant expansion. The project required a complex piping system, equipment installation, and a structural support steel mezzanine. As part of the project scope, Goodhart Sons field measured the existing conditions, fabricated piping and structural mezzanines, painted the fabricated components, shipped to the jobsite, and installed the piping and OEM equipment. Additionally, Goodhart Sons acted as the project manager and was responsible for scheduling the civil work, PE stamping of drawings, construction of material rooms, and insulation/heat tracing of the piping system.
The schedule for the project was very aggressive given the amount of work to be completed. Our entire team and our subcontractors worked together to provide our customer with a seamless installation. We coordinated with the plant to schedule and execute critical shutdowns of piping tie-ins without impacting the existing production. We also relocated equipment from another facility out of state to this facility in order for them to continue with their production backlog. Overall, the customer was extremely pleased with the entire execution of the project under the very tight timelines.
